Regardless of which trim you opt for, all 2500 models come with rear-wheel-drive as standard while the four-wheel-drive system is offered as an option. Only the Power Wagon trim gets a full-time 4WD system as standard. The gasoline-powered 2500 can tow up to 17,540 pounds and has a payload capacity of 4,010 pounds while the diesel engine can tow up to 20,000 pounds and has a payload capacity of 3,160 pounds.
Six trims are offered for the 2022 RAM 2500 - Tradesman®, Big Horn®, Laramie®, Power Wagon®, Limited Longhorn™, and Limited. Also, a variety of optional features, configurations, components, and packages are also offered. The 2500 can be configured with three cab types a Crew Cab with an eight-foot box, a Mega Cab with a 6.4-foot box, a Crew Cab with an eight-foot box, and a Crew Cab with a 6.4-foot box.
The RAM 2500’s cabin is planned to perfection, with high-quality materials used all around. Passenger room is also aplenty thanks to the vehicle’s overall dimensions. The base trim sports Vinyl seats while the higher trims are upgraded with leather-upholstered seats and power-adjustable and heated front seats. A five-inch touchscreen illuminates the Tradesman® trim. However, all the other trims get an upgraded 12-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen display. Features offered include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a 220-amp alternator, Bluetooth connectivity, and Wi-Fi connectivity, to name some of them. The touchscreen works without any glitches and the updated software offers a refined user experience.
