The Jeep Wrangler might be one of the most recognizable vehicles in the automotive industry as a whole. Its history only dates back to 1986, which isn’t all that long when compared to other iconic nameplates of the industry today. Yet it is one of the most legendary vehicles on the market and has become synonymous with the Jeep brand. The epitome of being a Jeep, the Wrangler is an off-road vehicle with incomparable capabilities. Currently in its fourth generation, we’re stoked to be able to provide the 2021 Jeep Wrangler right here in the Highland Lakes area of TX.
There is plenty to get excited about in the Jeep Wrangler for the 2021 model year, as a host of enhancements and changes have come to the vehicle. For starters, the menu of available powertrain options has been drastically updated. The Wrangler Sport, Sahara and Rubicon trim levels are now available with a 2.0L ESS (ATX Only), a 3.6L ESS (MTX Only), a 3.6L with mild-hybrid eTorque assist (ATX only), or a 3.0L EcoDiesel ESS (four-door models only).
You can now opt for the TrailCam feature, which includes a forward-facing off-road camera and an 8.4” touchscreen. The camera can be utilized in conjunction with the available Off-Road Pages technology. The Off-Road Plus package is now standard in the Wrangler Rubicon, plus it adjusts certain aspects of the Rubicon such as throttle, transmission shift points and even traction control.
Other updates and changes include a pair of additional USB charging ports, standard Select Tire Fill Alert on models with 7” or 8.4” Uconnect infotainment systems – but is otherwise included in the Technology Group, a Selec-Trac two-speed transfer case is now available on Sport trim levels while a Rock-Trac 4x4 system is available on Rubicon grades.
Finally, two new special editions were introduced for 2021, including the Wrangler 80th Anniversary Edition and the Islander Edition. The former adds leather seats with Granite Crystal interior accents, a three-piece black hardtop, a set of 18” wheels with the same Granite Crystal finish and, of course, commemorative badging around the vehicle’s exterior. The latter adds a host of design cues to the inside and outside inspired by beach themes, such as the Jeep Tiki decal on the hood, plus a set of black side steps, 17” wheels and 32” tires. You can opt for a white hardtop in this model.
