Reviewing the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel

Diesel engines are making a huge comeback in the U.S. due to their efficiency and power, especially in new SUVs and crossovers. The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel is one of the most impressive new diesel models for this year.

Recently, Green Car Reports thoroughly tested the new vehicle, using a 253 mile test to check fuel economy ratings, including one-third stop-and-go city driving and two-thirds highway driving. In this test, the Grand Cherokee achieved a combined rating of 27.4 mpg for the vehicle fitted with QuadraTrac II four-wheel drive. The Grand Cherokee includes a 3.0-liter V-6 turbodiesel engine that creates 240-hp and 420 lb.-ft. of torque.

Of course, the diesel engine isn't the only available for the new Grand Cherokee. There are four engines available, as well as a choice of two- or four-wheel drive. All combinations feature a new eight-speed automatic transmission.

Other notes from the publication include the fact that the cabin is quiet and more luxurious than any previous Grand Cherokee vehicle- especially the new leather seats. The writers also noticed that the stylish, high-end trim attracted a lot of second glances.

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee is certainly a sight to behold. For your own look at the vehicle, be sure to swing by Cecil Atkission Motors, located in Burnet, TX. We'll be happy to provide you with additional information and even set you up with a fun test drive. So, what are you waiting for?
